This piece is all about depth and calm. I built up the surface with layers of textured medium, then worked in deep Prussian blue and soft greys with a palette knife and dry brush so the texture catches the light as you move past it.
I love how the deep, moody blues fade into the lighter mist — it reminds me of the ocean just after dusk, when the water is dark but still holds that last bit of light. It's bold enough to be a statement, but soft enough to live beautifully in a bedroom or living room.
